Seafox Operations BV is an established company in the offshore market with professional and ambitious personnel. Day to day onshore operations are combined in offices in the Netherlands and the Middle East. Together they service the Seafox fleet that are united in the Seafox Group.

Employment: 0.6 FTE  (3 days per week)

Department Overview

The HR Department supports Seafox’s strategic objectives by delivering professional HR and crewing services that promote an onshore and offshore working environment characterized by open communication, accountability, trust, and mutual respect. HR and crewing activities are closely integrated. The HR Department currently consists of an HR Manager and is supported by an HR Assistant role. 

Position Summary

The HR Assistant supports and contributes to a range of HR and crewing activities for both onshore and offshore personnel, with a strong focus on operational HR support. The role involves personnel administration, recruitment support, training coordination, and compliance monitoring. The HR Assistant reports directly to the HR Manager.

The position is office-based in IJmuiden and may include occasional site visits.

General Tasks:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel records, training certificates, and crew files in the electronic HR management system, ensuring compliance with company policies, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor crew qualifications and certifications and report compliance issues to the HR Manager.
  • Plan, coordinate, and administer crew training, and liaise with crewing agencies to ensure agency-supplied crew training complies with Seafox requirements.
  • Act as focal point for the Seafox e-learning system.
  • Maintain awareness of training developments, availability, and training providers.
  • Assist with crew planning activities.
  • Support the Secretary in the coordination of travel arrangements, visa applications, and related logistics for offshore personnel.
  • Keep up to date with developments within the HR profession.
  • Perform occassional additional tasks as assigned by the HR Manager or department Managers.

  • Capable of planning, structuring tasks, and working to realistic timelines.

 Knowledge:

  • Understanding of HR-related terminology and industry-specific jargon.
  • Knowledge of personnel standards, employment legislation, and relevant national and international regulations.
  • Awareness of HR and crewing requirements specific to offshore and marine personnel.

Requirements

  • Education in Human Resources or related experience.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
  • Experience with HR or personnel administration is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of offshore or marine HR and crewing practices is a plus.
