Rig Manager
Full-time - Office-based - Operations Department - Hoofddorp, the Netherlands

Seafox is the world’s largest Offshore Jack-up ASV and support company with a global reach spanning Europe, The Middle East & North Africa (MENA), and Pacific regions. We deliver services to multinational companies in the oil & gas and renewable energy industry.

The Operations department is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of the contractual agreements made by the company. The department is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the offshore units that operate under Seafox responsibility. The department is coordinated by the Operations manager who has delegated the responsibility for each offshore unit to a designated Rig manager.

The Rig Manager's main task entails the decision making with regard to safe and efficient operation - within the budget and the contractual agreements - of the unit under his responsibility, as well as the daily monitoring of the vessel movements and performance from a mechanical & technical aspect, in line with the existing Company policies.

Job Duties:
- Assisting the Operations Manager in day-to-day business;
- Preparation of (rig move) operations in conjunction with the Operations Manager;
- Ensuring that all maintenance, surveys and modifications of the unit are properly planned, documented, approved and executed;
- Ensuring that the unit is correctly surveyed and certified in compliance with the applicable requirements to remain in Class;
- Co-ordination and supervision of all matters pertaining to the safety of the unit and its personnel;
- Ensuring that crewmembers are suitably qualified, experienced, competent, in conjunction with the Crewing Manager;
- Performing management visits/inspections to the offshore unit;
- Preparing budgets and objectives;
- Demonstrating clear (safety) leadership skills and setting a high standard of quality, health and safety and environmental awareness;
- Assisting the Project Manager with upcoming future projects.


Bachelor Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineer, Maroff or equivalent;
Minimum 5 years of operational, offshore or O&G project experience;
Minimum 3 years of experience at engineering level;
Preferred seagoing or closely related experience;
Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office applications;
Good command of the English language, both written and spoken
Familiar with Class, statutory, local regulations (e.g. Safety case, Performance standards and Written Scheme of Verification, offshore / maritime legislation)
